River Rats paddlers had a full and fun day on the Kalang River at the Urunga Dragon Boat Regatta on 3 May 2026, taking on multiple divisions both on their own and in combined crews.
Racing as the River Rats, the team lined up in the Women’s 10s and Opens 10s, putting in steady, competitive runs throughout the program. They also teamed up with the Wauchope Dragon Flys joining forces as the River Flys in the Women’s 20s and Sports Mixed 20s.
The highlight came in the Women’s 20s final, where the River Flys powered down the course to grab second place, finishing strongly against a competitive field. It was a solid day of racing, plenty of teamwork, and a great show of club spirit across all events.
